The governing bodies are the Synods and the Consistory. The Synod consists of the pastors and representatives of the various congregations. It holds a meeting once a year.
The Consistory is elected by the Synod and consists of two clergymen ( dean and vice-dean) and three laymen. It holds a meeting several times a year.
Dean and vice-dean are suggested by the pastors’ conference and/or members of a synod and are elected by the Synod every four years.
Commissions can be appointed by the Synod to work out certain problems and specific tasks.

Church Government
