In the various local parishes, services are held in the churches of different denominations. This way, it becomes obvious, that the congregational life is orientated ecumenically. Further cooperation is carried out with the German School of St. Kilian’s. Here, the pastor teaches religious education in a couple of class levels.
The responsibilities of the pastor are very versatile. As already stated, he teaches religious education at the German School. He represents the Church in organisations such as ICC, IICM, Irish Inter-Church Meeting, Dublin Council of Churches, the Irish Council of Christians and Jews, and the Lutheran World Federation.
The Church does not get carried away with the usual denominational extremes, but acts as a bridge for all people who do not want to identify themselves with traditional groupings.
Costs
The total costs of the Church are defrayed – for the majority - through voluntary contributions by its members. The Evangelical Church in Germany bears the remainder.
Projects
A large project happening annually is the Advent bazaar. The earnings are used for budget hedging and for social Third World projects.
