Focal points of work of the Evangelical Church A.C. in Romania are diaconia and pastoral care. Several nursing homes have been brought into being, meeting places were expanded, religious education and catholic youth work were restructured, and an Evangelical Academy takes on societal issues.
Gustav-Adolf-Werk Newly Established in Romania
Along with the primarily Hungarian-speaking Evangelical Church A.C. in Romania, to which it is closely connected and with which it co-operates organisationally within the scope of the
Lutheran World Federation (
LWF), and with the numerically significantly larger Reformed Church, the Gustav-Adolf-Werk could be newly established in Romania.
Protecting the Lutheran Identity
The shrunk Evangelical Church A.C. in Romania is still regarded as a reliable and – due to this – often sought-after partner within its ecumenical environment. Within the political and societal context, in which it is positioned, the Church ,in its own way, tries to protect and make the Lutheran identity prolific and to pass on the reformatory testimony.
